Description
Medusa is a character from Greek and Roman mythology, usually depicted as a hideous giant snake-haired woman with the face of Medusa. A legendary Gorgon, she was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head as a weapon until he gave it to Athena to place on her shield. She is said to be one of three sisters known as the Gorgons.
